I could devote an entire post to going over each recipe’s list of ingredients. I won’t. You get the point. The thing is that you won’t find any fillers or chemical preservatives in these recipes. Fillers are not added because low-temperature cooking and cold-pressing processes don’t rob the ingredients of nutritional value or flavor.
More Easily Digested
As for cold pressing, think about what it does to dog food. After mixing the ingredients in the right proportions, the dog food is cooked at low temperatures. Then it is gently press into the small pellets that you find in most bags. It’s a dry dog food, but it’s not so hard and crunchy that water can’t penetrate it.
The high cooking and extrusion that go into making traditional kibble create an extremely hard dog food that doesn’t easily break down. That’s why kibble sits in a dog’s stomach longer. And the longer it sits there, the more likely it is to expand and cause discomfort.
