On July 16, 2026, Diablo 4 Season 14, Season of Death Awakening, received its most important emergency fix since release – Patch 3.1.1a.
The core of this fix primarily addressed Mythic Unique 3.0: the game removed the limit on the number of Mythic Uniques that could be crafted and significantly increased the drop rate of equipment from Boss Corrupted Reaper.
Since the equipment obtained from farming Corrupted Reaper is completely random, crafting has become the most popular way for players to acquire Diablo 4 Mythic Uniques.
Do you want to precisely craft Mythic Uniques you need without wasting unnecessary materials? D4Gold.com will provide you with a detailed crafting guide.

Mythic Unique Classification
In Diablo 4 Season 14, Mythic Uniques are functionally divided into two categories, each with a distinct crafting method.
The first category is Iconic Mythics. This type of equipment was already Mythic Unique in previous seasons, possessing unique names and powerful effects.
In Season 14, the inherent affixes of these items have been significantly adjusted, weakening their uniqueness, but they remain powerful. You can craft them using Resplendent Sparks.
The second category is Non-Iconic Mythics. This is a completely new concept introduced in the new season: Mythic has become a quality of Unique items. Items with Mythic quality have enhanced effects, and all affixes are displayed at their maximum value.
Crafting this type of equipment does not rely on Resplendent Sparks, but rather on a new material introduced in Season 14 – Pandemonium Fragments.
Non-Iconic Mythic Crafting
For Non-Iconic Mythic Uniques, the core crafting tool is Horadric Cube. Simply place a Unique item with an attack power of at least 850, along with four Pandemonium Fragments, into the cube, and use Upgrade to Mythic recipe.
Obtaining Pandemonium Fragments
Pandemonium Fragments are a new material added in Diablo 4 Season 14 Season of Death Awakening, primarily obtained from Corrupted Reaper – this season’s Lair Boss, located at the pandemonium’s threshold in Zarbinzet.
According to player testing, at Torment 12 difficulty, each chest from this boss can drop a maximum of 2 Pandemonium Fragments.
Since each chest requires a Superior Lair Key, you’ll need to prepare enough keys beforehand – you can obtain them by farming Nightmare Dungeon, defeating Realmwalkers, etc.
If you don’t have enough keys, you can buy Diablo 4 Superior Lair Keys from D4Gold.com. We offer the cheapest price and 24-hour service, saving you time farming keys.

Obtaining Uniques
Note that in Patch 3.1.1a, Unique attribute required for Upgrade to Mythic only applies to specific equipment slots.
In other words, it doesn’t actually upgrade your unique item to Mythic quality; instead, it gives you a Mythic Unique of the same type as the piece of equipment you put in.
Therefore, players shouldn’t use unique items with excellent stats as materials for crafting. Instead, they should specifically farm unique items with average stats for the desired piece.
Players can obtain unique items for specific pieces by defeating bosses. For example, Harbinger of Hatred drops Ugly Bastard helmet, so repeatedly farming this boss is a reliable source of helmet materials.
Players can also directly craft unique items for specific pieces using Horadric Cubes, but this process is more cumbersome.
Iconic Mythic Crafting
The crafting path for Iconic Mythic is more direct, but the barrier to entry is higher. Players need to consume Resplendent Sparks to craft the equipment at Blacksmith or Jeweler.
Obtaining Resplendent Sparks
In Diablo 4 Season 14 Patch 3.1.1a, there are three ways to obtain Resplendent Sparks:
First, disenchanting Mythic Uniques. Each disenchanted Mythic Unique yields 1 Resplendent Spark.
Second, Season Journeys. Season 14’s Season Journey rewards include chests that can contain Resplendent Sparks.
Third, first-time boss kill. On Torment difficulty, the first kill of any boss grants 1 Resplendent Spark; however, this can only be done once per season.
As you can see, the second and third methods have significant limitations, so the primary method for players to farm Resplendent Sparks is still disenchanting Mythic Uniques.
This gives us a strategy for farming crafting materials: first, farm Pandemonium Fragments by farming Corrupted Reaper, then farm Mythic Uniques in Horadric Cube;
Once you’ve farmed a large number of Mythic Uniques, directly break down any unused ones into Resplendent Sparks.
Blacksmith VS Jeweler
Once you’ve accumulated enough Resplendent Sparks, you can craft equipment at either Blacksmith or Jeweler. So, what’s difference between two?
At Blacksmith, players can consume 2 Resplendent Sparks and 50 million Gold to craft a random Iconic Mythic;
At Jeweler: players can consume 3 Resplendent Sparks plus a certain number of specific Runes to craft a Mythic Unique for a specific equipment slot.
However, in Season 14 Patch 3.1.1a, due to the significant expansion of Mythic Unique pool, the targeted crafting effect of Jeweler was diluted, and its consumption was too high, making it less cost-effective than Blacksmith.
Therefore, crafting Mythic Uniques through Blacksmith is a more recommended method.
The above is D4Gold.com’s method for crafting Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 14 Season of Death Awakening.
In summary, use your Pandemonium Fragments to farm a large number of Mythic Uniques for specific parts in Horadric Cube, then exchange the unused Mythic Uniques for Resplendent Sparks and farm Iconic Mythic at Blacksmith.
This maximizes resource utilization, effectively saving players’ time and effort while avoiding material waste.
